Torrent's Fallera Mayor Infantil 2027 (the girl chosen to represent the city's Fallas festival), Carla Simó Mollá, last night debuted a Vives y Marí silk fabric featuring the “San Clemente” design on an “Azul Infante” ground at the exaltation ceremony of the city's Fallera Mayor, Amparo Taberner Moncholí, held at the Auditori de Torrent. Her dress was one of the most talked-about debuts of the evening.
The “San Clemente” pattern combines 16 weft colors with gold metallic thread reserved for the ornamentation, which brings out the motifs against the “Azul Infante” ground.
Carla Simó, aged 12, from the Falla Àngel de l'Alcàsser, accompanied the Fallera Mayor on the night of her exaltation. It was her first major appearance in a newly debuted dress before the city's falla committees.
Today, from 11:00 a.m., the same stage hosts her own exaltation as the highest child representative of the Torrent Fallas.
Vives y Marí's relationship with the Fallas of Torrent goes back a long way. Year after year, fabrics from the Xirivella workshop have dressed the city's Falleras Mayores and their Corte de Honor (court of honor) at their exaltations and official events. Among others: Carmen Raga and Leyre Gallego in 2019, Paula Alapont with the “Santa Virginia” pattern in 2022, Alicia Moreno with “Baco” on an “Azul Infante” ground in 2025, and Sara Magán with her entire Corte de Honor in 2026.
