An espolín reserved for the Falleras Mayores of Alzira

The «Alzira» design is owned by Alzira City Council and may only be worn by the city's Falleras Mayores. Claudia Gomis, a member of Falla Caputxins, wears an espolín on a «Verde Salvia» background, woven with 42 trama (weft) colours and four metallic threads: oro liso, oro volteado, oro brescado and plata brescada. Both the urdimbre (warp) and the trama are natural silk.

For Claudia it is her second reign in the Fallas of Alzira, having been the city's Fallera Mayor Infantil in 2015.

The Fallera Mayor Infantil, in her second official dress

María Benedito Iborra, Fallera Mayor Infantil of Alzira 2027 and a member of Falla l'Alquenència, accompanied Claudia in her second official dress: a natural silk lampas with the «Angelus» design in «Hibiscus», woven with 16 trama colours and one metallic thread for the ornament.

María will be honoured tomorrow, Sunday, at 12:00 at the same venue, where she will debut her own «Alzira» espolín. Its colour will be revealed at that ceremony.

Both Cortes de Honor wear rayon lampas by Vives y Marí in the «Linaje» design, woven with 12 trama colours and one metallic thread for the ornament: «Arce» for the Corte de Honor and «Musgo» for the Corte de Honor Infantil.

On 15 September, the Falleras Mayores and their Cortes de Honor visited Vives y Marí to collect their fabrics. They toured the production area and signed the firm's Book of Honour.
