Last night the solemn exaltation of Carmen Prades Gil as Fallera Mayor of Valencia 2026 took place at the Palau de la Música in Valencia, one of the most awaited acts of the Fallas calendar.
The auditorium was filled with commissions, authorities and the world of Fallas to pay tribute to the highest representative of the party, who officially began the road to the Fallas of 2026 with this symbolic act.
The protocol combined institutional solemnity with the warmth of the party, in an environment where music, clothing and tradition were the protagonists.The parliaments, the ovations and the emotional presence of its Court of Honour turned the evening into a true tribute to the fallera woman and the Valencian culture.
The protagonist's entrance to the stage marked one of the most intense moments of the night. Carmen wore, impeccably, the espolín "Fallera Mayor of Valencia" that Vives y Marí, once again, has had the honor of knitting.The fabric is made on a warp of three earth-coloured natural silk ends and weaved with a total of 30 different courses: a cotton weft that assembles the bottom, four metals, 24 natural silk wefts that give life to flowers and leaves, and a weft of nobility.
The background color "Terreta", which from the beginning occupied aspecial in Carmen's heart, it was imagined by her when the illusion of becoming Fallera Mayor from Valencia began to fill the election process with optimism. It is a bold, delicate tone with a unique beauty, a faithful reflection of the personality that distinguishes our Fallera Mayor.The harmonious chromatic combination of the floral and ornamental composition gives the ensemble an enveloping softness and, at the same time, a resounding elegance that enriches the essence of this emblematic fabric.
