María Benedito Iborra was honoured as Fallera Mayor Infantil of Alzira 2027 at her exaltation ceremony on Sunday 8 November at the Gran Teatre d'Alzira. She debuted her first official dress, made with an «Alzira» espolín on a «Madreperla» background woven by Vives y Marí. The Fallera Mayor, Claudia Gomis Sanmartín, accompanied her in her second official dress, also by the firm.
The Fallera Mayor Infantil's espolín
María Benedito, a member of Falla l'Alquenència, wears an espolín in the «Alzira» design, owned by Alzira City Council and reserved for the city's Falleras Mayores. It has a «Madreperla» background and was woven with 41 trama (weft) colours and four metallic threads: oro volteado, oro liso, oro brescado and plata brescada. Both the urdimbre (warp) and the trama are natural silk.
The Fallera Mayor, in her second official dress
Claudia Gomis, honoured the previous evening in an «Alzira» espolín on a «Verde Salvia» background, accompanied María in her second official dress: a natural silk lampas with the «Angelus» design in «Arena», woven with 16 trama colours and one metallic thread for the ornament.
The two Falleras Mayores share the same design for their second dress: María wore the «Angelus» in «Hibiscus» at Claudia's exaltation.
All the official fabrics, from Vives y Marí's looms
The Cortes de Honor once again accompanied their Falleras Mayores in their «Linaje» rayon lampas: «Arce» for the Corte de Honor and «Musgo» for the Corte de Honor Infantil. With this second ceremony, all the official fabrics of the Falleras Mayores of Alzira 2027 and their Cortes de Honor have now been unveiled, every one of them woven on Vives y Marí's looms.
