The Pasarela de las Artes is celebrating its second edition this May at the L'Iber tin soldier museum, the same venue that saw its birth in May 2015.
The initiative is part of the official activities of Unesco for the programming of "Valencia, city of silk 2016″, and offers a unique vision of author fashion and other artistic disciplines such as sculpture, painting, music, photography and literature. In this scenario, activities are developed focused on supporting the Valencian silk industry, with parades inspired by the tradition of Valencian clothing, as well as new applications in the fashion industry.
Among them, it is worth mentioning the parade that last night saw Vives y Marí and the goldsmith firm Artesanía Castillo collaborate. Two companies famous in the world of Valencian clothing, applied their products to the field of fashion with a surprising and impressive result, to say the least.
The recital 'Silk', performed by the Mediterranean Women Writers platform, opened the fashion show in which the refined silk garments of Vives and Marí, with their transparencies and sheens, patterns and shades, opacities and reflections, were the protagonists.
The show had a charitable character and all proceeds will go to Casa Caridad.
