The fabrics of the Court of Honor of the Fallera Mayor de Valencia 2016

This year Vives y Marí collaborates with Les Barraques Carmen Asins, Official Costume Designer of the Court of Honor of the Fallera Mayor of Valencia 2016 for the elaboration of the official costumes of the 19th century and 18th century.

The presentation of the Court Fabrics of the Fallera Mayor de Valencia 2016 took place last night, Thursday, November 12 at the Stolz Hall of the Ateneo Mercantil of Valencia, at 19:30 hours.

The first official costume of the Court will be made with a natural silk fabric named Alianza. This drawing belongs to the collection of 19th century designs from the historical archive of our firm. The most important features are the damask background worked in tone so as not to detract from the importance of the central bouquet. For the ornament a gold metal has been used, which is characterized by being a soft gold, which harmonizes very well with all the backgrounds.

The fabric for the second official costume reproduces an original drawing of the eighteenth century that bears the name of Amapola made with 12 colors of weft and two fine metals, gold and silver.
