The Intergovernmental Committee of Unesco, meeting this Wednesday in Ethiopia in Addis Ababa, approved today the entry of the Fallas festival on the Representative List of the Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
The Fallas festival has been added to the Representative List of the Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
To celebrate the achievement, Junta Central Fallera has called this afternoon at 19 hours to the entire fallero collective to plant a falla at the foot of the Serranos Towers. The monument will remain planted until Sunday, when, at sunset, a celebration party is scheduled. Sunday's big party, similar to what other cities have celebrated when they were designated, will include a "Crida a l'Humanitat", as well as music and pyrotechnics, which would be topped off by burning the falla.
From VIVES Y MARÍ, we want to give our congratulations to the fallero world and the entire city, which with this achievement is placed even more firmly on the world map of culture.
