Identifying a design or background colour from a photograph is not always straightforward: our archive holds over 5,000 designs and the colour chart is updated every season. The colour of silk can also vary considerably depending on the lighting, the device on which the image is viewed, and the colours of the weave itself.

Every fabric that leaves our premises carries a label with full identification details, so we recommend consulting the shop where it was purchased in the first place. If that is not possible, you are welcome to send us a photograph at and our design department will assist you as soon as possible.

To make identification easier, please ensure the image is high resolution and shows the full design, particularly the central branch.

Vives y Marí operates exclusively as a wholesale manufacturer. We do not have our own shop and we do not serve individual customers. The retail price is set freely by each authorised reseller.

As wholesale manufacturers, we do not have access to our distributors' inventories. We can consult our order archive to determine who purchased a particular design, but we cannot guarantee that the piece has not already been sold.

That said, any design from our historical archive can be woven to order in the background colours of the current collection. We recommend contacting your trusted costume specialist to enquire about placing the order.

Almost all traditional costume shops in the Valencian Community carry our products. However, our policy does not allow us to recommend any one establishment over another.

If you would like to find the nearest stockists to your home, please do not hesitate to contact us via our contact form, providing your postcode: we will be happy to help.

We are very happy to publish photographs of customers who wish to appear on our social media profiles, but only when the images are submitted by the person photographed themselves. In the case of minors, the request must be made by a parent or legal guardian, who must give their express authorisation for the publication.

In order to publish your photograph we need the following details: full name of the person appearing in the image, name of their falla and, if applicable, their position within it, as well as the name of the design and the background colour of the fabric. Photographs should be sent to .

If you do not know the details of your fabric, please see the first question in this section to find out how to obtain them.

As a general rule, no. In certain cases it is possible to arrange a visit to our premises, but this must be requested by the costume specialist —who is our direct client— and must always take place in their company.

The only exception is espolines, which we also sell directly to individual customers.

We recommend contacting your costume specialist. Our factory generally sells complete dress lengths, and we take care to ensure the same product is not distributed to two shops in the same area.

Every situation is different, but your trusted costume specialist is always best placed to advise you, or — if you need more metres of a fabric you already own — the shop where you originally purchased it.

Some costume specialists hold designs exclusive to Vives y Marí: designs that only they may sell and that are not supplied to any other shop. This gives them full control over distribution.

For non-exclusive designs, we take care not to sell exactly the same product —the same design, background colour and weave— to two establishments in the same area. However, as wholesalers, our ability to control the product ends once it leaves our premises.

Yes, provided the design in question is not an exclusive design belonging to another shop or a local festival board.

No, with the exception of espolines. For these, we retain small quantities of all colours from previous seasons, expressly set aside for this purpose.

As a general rule, no. Every design is conceived specifically for a given material, with a width and number of weft colours suited to the loom that will produce it. Espolín designs, for example, typically require a number of colours that makes it technically very difficult —or outright impossible— to reproduce them using any technique other than the manual one.

There are cases in which a design has been adapted or recreated for a different fabric, but these are always exceptional circumstances.

Probably not. The dyeing of silk —and of textile raw materials in general— is a delicate process whose results can vary slightly from one batch to another.

Colour can also be affected by the passage of time, exposure to natural light or other external factors. Even the colours of the weave can alter the perception of the shade and subtly influence the hue of the background itself.

As a general rule, darker colours tend to be less susceptible to these variations.

It depends on several factors. We have a predefined annual budget for this type of activity and apply very strict criteria regarding the kind of initiatives we support.

If you believe your proposal could be of mutual interest, we invite you to contact us via our contact form.

No. Our clients and collaborators are industry professionals and traditional costume shops. We are very pleased to give visibility to end customers on our social media profiles, but we do not enter into commercial agreements with private individuals.

We publish only our own photographs or images that end customers send us for sharing. When we publish third-party photos, we always respect the photographer's watermark, but we do not tag or mention photographers, costume specialists or other brands beyond Vives y Marí.

We do not publish photographs submitted by the photographer without the prior consent of the person photographed. However, both the subject and the photographer may identify the author of the images in the comments of the post.

Our social media profiles have a single purpose: to showcase our products and to share the excitement of the falleras who appear in them.
