Vives y Marí has launched its new website, a platform built from scratch with the assistance of artificial intelligence and free from external dependencies. Completed in less than a week, the project is the first step of a comprehensive technology upgrade undertaken by the Xirivella-based firm to strengthen its digital infrastructure while staying true to the values that have defined it for over seventy years.
A necessary change
The firm's previous website ran on a content management system that had become obsolete and lacked security support. Updates had grown increasingly complex, performance fell short of current demands, and reliance on dozens of third-party components posed a growing risk. Rather than migrating to another generic platform, Vives y Marí chose to build a bespoke solution designed exclusively for its needs.
Artificial intelligence as a creation tool
The development relied extensively on artificial intelligence as a programming tool. Both the system architecture and every line of code were designed and reviewed with AI model assistance, making it possible to complete the project —including the migration of all content from the previous website— in less than a week, a timeline that would have required months using conventional methods.
The result is a lightweight, fast site with no external dependencies: it uses no framework, library or third-party component. All code is proprietary, which translates into greater security, easier maintenance and markedly better performance.
What the new website offers
The new platform delivers near-instant page loading thanks to a minimalist, optimised architecture; enhanced security by eliminating all external software dependencies; a digital swatch book that allows the Vives y Marí team to browse designs, backgrounds and colourways for each season quickly and visually; a store finder based on postcode and geolocation to improve customer service; multilingual content in Spanish, English, Valencian and Portuguese with AI-assisted translation, and a responsive design adapted to mobile phones and tablets.
The first piece of a broader plan
The new website is not a standalone project but the first piece of a comprehensive technology upgrade. With this solid, flexible foundation, Vives y Marí has the groundwork to continue integrating digital tools that enhance both internal management and service to customers and partners.
