Once again, the handcrafted fabrics of Vives y Marí have been the protagonists of one of the most special moments of the Magdalena Festivities: the Galania a las Reinas de Castellón.

The Queens of the Festivities 2026, Clara Sanz Sobrino (Queen Major) and Ana Colón Sastriques (Children's Queen), wore the castellonera suits made with silks from our looms last weekend at the Palau de la Festa, in an act that marks the symbolic beginning of the big week of Castellón.

Two silks, two personalities

For this edition, the Queens premiered two of ourexclusive designs woven in natural silk:

Reina Mayor — Clara Sanz Sobrino: "Beret" drawing on an "Ancient Gold" background. A warm and stately tone, deeply rooted in the indumentarista Castellón tradition, which gives the suit a classic and luminous elegance.

Children's Queen — Ana Colón Sastriques: "Querol" drawing on "Olivina" background.A soft and delicate green that connects with the freshness and illusion of the holidays seen from the eyes of childhood.

Both designs are exclusive to the Queens of the Festivities of Castellón, a singularity that reinforces the unique character of each reign. The skirts, made entirely of our natural silk fabrics, are the basis on which all clothing is built.

The delivery ofthe costumes took place at El Corte Inglés in Castellón, which since 2005 has supported the Magdalena Festivities by giving the highest representatives of the festivities their Galania costumes.

More than 60 years of weaving tradition

For Vives and Marí, dressing the Queens of Castellón is much more than a commission: it is the natural expression ofour commitment to the preservation and dissemination of the art of Valencian silk. For more than six decades, our looms have been artisanally producing the fabrics that give life to traditional clothing, keeping alive techniques that are the heritage of our land.

Every metre of silk that comes out of our workshop carries with it the story of a centuries-old craft and the passion of those who keep it alive.Seeing those fabrics shine in the Galanías, one of the most emotional events of the Castellón festive calendar, is for us the greatest possible recognition.

From Vives and Marí we wish Clara, Ana and all of Castellón a happy Magdalena Festival in 2026.

Magdalena Vítol!
