The fabrics: tradition and master craftsmanship

All the drawings presented are part of the historical archive of Vives y Marí, constituting a valuable documentary collection in which time, memory and creative process are interwoven.

The espolín, emblematic technique of the Valencian sedería, is made by means of a manual shuttle with which the floral and ornamental motifs are woven in an individualized way, generating an effect similar to embroidery. This process gives rise to the characteristic spiral weave, a symbol of exclusivity and craftsmanship.

Lampas are highly valued fabrics within traditional clothing due to their rich texture and luxurious appearance, consolidating themselves as one of the most representative expressions of our textile heritage.

With this new collection, Vives y Marí reaffirms its commitment to excellence, tradition and innovation, contributing once again to enhance the official clothing of the Hogueras de Alicante.
