For over 70 years, Vives y Marí has been a pioneering firm in the craft of Valencian silk art. An elaborate artisanal process that endures to this day, passed down from parents to children: three generations that have guaranteed the highest quality of their products at every moment in their history.
Vives y Marí is one of the largest fabric producers in Spain and the leading company in silks dedicated to the traditional dress of the Valencian Community. Its founders, Luis Vives and José Marí, started by creating a small company in the 1950s, later turning it into the company it is today by adding Manuel Aznar, Vicente Bayot and Jaime García to their team, thus forming an incredible team of professionals.
Since 1973, Vives y Marí has expanded its production by dedicating itself to creating fabrics for traditional costumes throughout the Valencian Community, and since 1999 has revived the manufacture of Espolines. The company, recognised for its exceptional work of undeniable quality and winner of the 2010 Craftsmanship Award from the Valencia Chamber of Commerce, is a benchmark in the world of festivals across the Valencian Community and the rest of Spain.
Thanks to the remarkable work of its team of professionals and the most modern machinery, the company stands out for its ability to create exclusive designs and colours, while always respecting the silk-weaving tradition. Furthermore, the production of certified Espolines continues to be carried out as in ancient times, manually weaving unique works of art.
Vives y Marí's production is also complemented by departments dedicated to ornamentation and fashion fabrics, opening the company to the global market and the world of luxury, meeting the needs of clients from the United States to the United Arab Emirates.
